Oh Lori, I am so sorry that Georgie’s life got cut short. It is such a tragedy. But I am so happy he found you and knew what love was, even if it was for a short time. He passed knowing he was surrounded by it, and that is a beautiful gift you gave him. He has forever changed all of us, since you have so beautifully shared this journey with the rest of us who didn’t get the chance to meet him while he was here. Let us all honor his spirit and his legacy by paying it forward to all the other “Georgies” still out there who so desperately need a human advocate to rescue them. Each one has a story and is waiting for a miracle. All we can do is try and save them…one animal at a time. And pray for those we can’t. I’m so sorry Georgie passed. He seemed like such a good dog…he had such a sweet face. I would have taken him, but I have three. You loved him and gave him a chance. He’ll always be in your memory.
