Anna & Terry {Gorgeous Backyard Wedding}

I just love weddings. Especially when they are simple and elegant and really reflect the love between the bride and groom. This wedding exceeded all those things. When I first met Anna, she was part of Susan and Mitch’s wedding. Who would guess she would meet the man of her dreams shortly after watching one of her oldest friends tie the knot? Needless to say, I was thrilled for her. It was great to see Susan and Mitch again too. I can’t believe it’s been over a year ago they were married. And they still look as happy as ever.

I absolutely loved the colors Anna and Terry chose. Pinks and purples were the most perfect colors against the back drop of Jason and Camy’s gorgeous home. I’ll tell you, I was SO WORRIED when I went to check things out the week before the ceremony. We’ve had a super mild summer this year in Los Angeles. Not too hot. And definitely not temperatures in the 3 digits. Until the end of August. The week before the outside wedding. In Tarzana. (which for those who don’t know LA, it’s in the valley and the valley is hot in the summer. Very Hot!) When I looked at my dash thermometer, the dial read 103. We’re in trouble! I felt just awful for Terry especially. I mean, really… who wants to be in a tux in that kind of weather? Especially for a groom who only wears shorts. I bet it crossed his mind more than once to the bag the tuxedo all together and bring out the flip flops and aloha shirts. Turns out we didn’t have to worry. The day of the ceremony, the weather changed and it was a balmy 80 degrees in Tarzana. Just perfect. The details were just perfect too. Here’s just a taste of the gorgeous backyard. Elegant, colorful and simple. Just like I like it.
