I’d say this year’s fundraiser, “Eat Your Art Out” was a huge success for the Angel City Roller Girls. I didn’t know what to expect and was blown away. The art was fantastic. So many talented people under one roof! The husband and I bid on a great piece, but sadly lost out. Totally bummed about it! The painting would have been perfect over our bed. (the large one with the blonde girl in the foreground) I have to find out if the artist has any other pieces. The crowd was having a great time and by the end of the night it was wall to wall people. Really cool cotton candy clouds, grilled cheese truck and never ending booze from the bar. Really glad Blow Hole asked me to photograph it.
Turn up the volume and enjoy a night of fantastic art and fun.
It’s a long process. I wish it would speed up! But, time, too many choices, money and husband approval make it take a long time! Finally, though, this room is getting some color! I wish Vanessa lived closer so she could come help. She is a fantastic designer and owns Fiore Studio.
So the owl pillows, you know came from Cuore on Etsy. (which by the way, I am addicted to now. Who knew Etsy had so many cool things. I love things. Pretty things. Fun things. Functional things. I could buy up a whole lot of things on there. If you haven’t discovered the joy of handmade check out Etsy. Pronto!) The new fun flower print pillows came from This Little Home. THANK YOU SHEREEN! Shereen is amazing. I love her stuff. The pillows are beautiful and really well made. She also has a store for babies called This Little Lamb. (Rachael and Brigitta check it out! You’ll love it)
So. Here is the latest photo. The left side of the couch is not really looking great, since I didn’t want to disturb the princess. (Otherwise known as the dog! LOL
) Next step is to get a decent throw or blanket for her to lay on. Not that ugly green thing. Hmmmm….maybe I can ask Shereen to make a bigger blanket with the same fabric and soft orange or red minky on the back. I think I’ll be sending her an email about that.
Slowly, but surely. Little by little. It will all get done!
