Kate, Nick, Olivia and Louie {West Hills Photographer}

I can’t believe another year has gone by! The kids have grown so much. And they are so sweet! I’ve been photographing this family since Olivia was 6 months old. I can’t believe it. (And so happy they got a new family memember this year! Mr. Louie!) Mom picked out the best location. So much to do, so much to see. I had a blast. And the kids did too…and exhausted themselves. Mom said they were in bed fast asleep by 6:30! LOL

Lola Canine Couture: The “Almost” Good Ones {Out Takes}

Sometimes, (especially with dogs!) things just don’t go right. The composition doesn’t turn out like I had planned. Clothing or prop malfunction. The dogs move to fast for my fingers to focus. A people part gets in the way. Pups take off and run right into horrible light. Something just looks wrong. The background is horrible. One doggie face is adorable, the other looks like satan reincarnated. You can never tell what will happen with dogs. Add 15 dogs into the mix and you really get some craziness!

I’m very picky when it comes to the final images I show to clients. And so if something is off, I just can’t include the photo in the final count. However, sometimes the shot is “almost” good. I’ve tried to hit delete on these photos, but I just can’t do it. Some of my favorite shots of Gabby, Francis and Enzo are those images that just don’t make the cut. It’s these “almost” good shots that create my out take files.

Photographing dogs and cats is so much fun and I think the out takes show those adorable behind the scenes that make me love my job!

So, enjoy these “almost” good shots. Don’t forget to adjust the volume on your computer. They come with music!

Bishop Has Left The Building {Santa Monica Photographer}

Bishop is all boy. Up and down. Spinning and climbing. Look a truck. Hey, a piece of grass. See? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A FIRE ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRE ENGINE!!!!!!! FIRE!!!! E N G I N E !!! He’s here and there. Little Duke just watched as his big brother ran circles around him. Literally! I bet grandma and M’Lissa were worried. I hope you guys love these as much as I do. I love that we let Bish be himself and have fun. The photos totatlly capture him!
